The ideal candidate will be passionate about storytelling to capture a target audience’s attention and inspire action through creative and engaging content. This role focuses on content creation, ensuring all content tells a cohesive story, which is developed through researching, copywriting, proofreading, and editing text across various media. To be successful in this role, the candidate should be detail-oriented and enjoy taking the complex and translating it into relevant, meaningful, and actionable copy to inspire measurable action.

The Content Marketing Specialist reports directly to the Director of Content and Communications.

Essential Functions

Work directly with our Director of Content and Communications, write creative copy for internal and external audiences (social, email, blogs, landing pages, events, awards, website, PR) . Work directly with our Director of Product Marketing, create engaging marketing collateral and materials (website, case studies, eBooks, product briefs, slicks, battlecards, presentations) . Work with internal teams, support external campaigns with key customers, prospects, and partners. Successfully guide projects from planning to execution, and through multiple levels of approvals and revisions. Write, edit, and fact-check marketing content, ensuring content across all platforms is on-brand, as well as crisp, clear, compelling, and consistent. Work with key stakeholders to assist with planning and executing effective content strategies. Assist with managing content calendars; Create and maintain a strategic content plan. Keep up-to-date with content trends, consumer preferences, and advancements in technology.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Public Relations, Business Marketing, Journalism, or any other related field preferred. 2-4 years of Marketing or Communications experience. B2B, financial services, or tech experience a plus. Excellent written and communication skills, as well as storytelling and editing skills. Proven track record of creating and managing content programs with demonstrated business results. Deep understanding of the correlation between positioning, messaging, and target audiences. Ability to build trust and respect with team members and others across the organization. Ability to multi-task, and problem-solve, with a strong attention to detail. Ability to work independently, consistently meet commitments and deadlines and be accountable for results. Strong project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously. Must be flexible, adaptable, and able to manage through ambiguity. Must be able to collaborate with team members. Must provide a portfolio of published work. Preferred Software Experience: Microsoft Office Suite; CRM; Social Media Platforms; Email Marketing; Marketing Databases.
