One of Southern California's leading and fast growing general contractors is looking to bring an Accounting Manager on board to join their team. This be a hands on manager role, and will have high visibility, working closely with the Executive team.
Job Responsibilities:
General ledger accounting oversight: including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, payroll, and cost accounting.
Prepare and manage the Work In Progress schedule (WIP).
Supervise bi-weekly payroll processing.
Manage cash flow preparation and forecasting.
Ensure accuracy and compliance by preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements.
Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
Prepare and review job cost reports.
Maintain the fixed asset schedule.
Assist in sales and use tax filings.
Provide oversight of accounts receivable and monthly billing processes.
Manage the credit card program and reconciliation.
Coordinate ERP sync with Procore.
Handle general ledger accounting functions.
Develop, implement, and enforce financial controls and guidelines.
Collaborate with external auditors, consultants, and firms.
Work closely with project managers and senior management.
Supervise and mentor the accounting team.
Skills and Experience:
Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including proficiency in month-end close, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
Previous management experience
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting standards.
Industry experience required, Construction / General Contractor
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
Familiarity with Sage 100 Contractor, Procore, and Bill.com is highly preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
