Experience in government contracting, CostPoint, and Hyperion is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Accounting Close Process: Oversee and manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements. Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Monitor and report on project backlogs. Collaborate with the project finance team to ensure accurate backlog information. Analyze and interpret backlog data for management reporting. SOX Control: Maintain and enhance internal controls in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements. Perform periodic SOX testing and documentation. Assist with audits and implement corrective actions as needed. Unbilled Reconciliation: Conduct regular unbilled reconciliation and analysis. Work closely with billing and project finance teams to resolve discrepancies. Special Projects: Lead and participate in various special projects as assigned by management. Provide financial analysis and support for strategic initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA certification is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience. Strong knowledge of GAAP, FAR, CAS, and accounting principles. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Preferred Experience: Experience with government contracting. Proficiency in CostPoint, Cognos, and HFM. KBR is an equal opportunity employer.
