Job Description
The FP&A Manager is responsible for supporting the VP FP&A in day-to-day tasks through the ability to comfortably interact with key departments, combined with excellent time management skills, multi-tasking abilities, and attention to detail. The FP&A Manager will develop analysis and interpretation of financial data and communicate this by providing clear data and analytics stories. This includes analysis of the Hotels’ topline results, P&L accounts, Key Performance Indicators, HMA compliance calculation, the review and analysis of the monthly hotels & corporate closing and performance analysis reports. This strategic role provides management visibility on the performance to enhance revenues while improving productivity and cost efficiencies. The FP&A Manager will also manage the annual budget and the rolling forecasts under the supervision of the VP FP&A. The objective is to support business executives and departmental leaders in making strategic, data-driven decisions.
Reporting to the VP FP&A Fairmont & Raffles, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
Preparing and loading in Onestream R&C (Groups’ financial system) the corporate Last Estimates forecast 4 times a year: LE1, LE2, LE3, LE4 for Fairmont & Raffles scope globally
Preparing the corporate annual budgets for Fairmont & Raffles scope globally and loading in OneStream R&C (Groups’ financial system)
Managing the budgeting/forecasting process and implement related data collection / consolidation tools
Production of monthly/quarterly/yearly reporting package called Performance Review (presented by CEO & CFO to Sebastien Bazin)
Managing the monthly closings, reportings and performance analysis :
Monitor financial performance (revenue, staff costs, FTEs, expenses, etc.)
Review Actuals vs Budget / LE, analysis of variances and comments
Consolidate & run data quality check on monthly actuals (network, stats, revenue, EBITDA, AR, etc.)
Ensure implementation Group referential & procedures
Communicate Actual P&L monthly with all function heads.
Design and implementation of new smart tools, improvement of internal process
Production of the management information system: topline and P&Ls closing reports, waterfalls analysis, charts and KPIs analysis to monitor the business unit financial & operational performance. Audience is CFO & ExCom leaders.
Guarantees information accuracy at any stage of any operating cycles
Produce relevant business performance analysis with qualitative comments to provide guidance to all stakeholders
Collaborate with other teams for specific items to implement reporting and drive operational plans (Operation Finance, Finance Strategy, Operations, Development, SMDL team etc.)
Assist VP FP&A on the yearly 5-year business plan exercise
Qualifications
• Fluent English is compulsory
• Perfect knowledge of MS Office, Strong excel, VBA is a plus, Onestream, Tableau
• Knowledge in business intelligence software is a plus (OneStream and Tableau analysis services, or any other data visualization tools)
• Major in Corporate Finance
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, professional, and a self-motivated team-player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work well under pressure and manage stakeholder expectations of from each department
• Highly responsible and able to handle confidential information with the utmost discretion
• Excellent communication skills in both verbal and written form: need to be able to clearly communicate sensitive information, to facilitate smooth interaction and efficient execution of collaborative duties
• Strong attention to detail & the production of high-quality work
• Comfortable working in a collaborative setting and with senior leadership, be self-motivated requiring minimal supervision, be proactive, be a creative strategic and independent thinker, have superior problem-solving skills, have an ability to work on multiple projects and meet tight-deadlines, have a positive can-do attitude, and demonstrate calmness and composure in times of uncertainty and stress
