Position Overview Reporting to the Manager, Project Controls, the Development Project Controls Specialist will support the Development group by managing the administration of development phase documentation and work order/purchase order processes for Cordelio’s pipeline of utility-scale wind, battery and solar development projects. This includes documentation management, assisting with development budget tracking, creation of purchase orders, confirming completion of work orders, invoice confirmation and support of handover from development to project finance and construction. Responsibilities Direct, oversee and support the management and placement of all development related commercial agreements related to projects. Management and support purchase order generation in accordance with internal processes, systems and accounting practices. Coordinate the document control processes for the development of relevant documentation. Support and manage relevant project development budgets in conjunction with developers, project finance, financial planning and analysis and accounting teams. Work with the development team in a fast-paced environment and coordinate project specific activities related to project development (e.g. identify areas of improvement and collaborate with the team to develop and standardize documentation). Work with the development team to lead the coordination of documentation for internal and external stakeholders. Create relevant internal reporting related to tracked deliverables and deadlines. Assist with other relevant projects as directed. Experience Requirements At least two years of progressive responsibilities experience in project administration in energy development and/or construction projects and experience in utility scale renewable energy projects is considered an asset; OR At least two years of experience working in development, construction, and/or engineering teams and processes is considered an asset; Industry specific experience is preferred, however, candidates with relevant functional experience will also be considered and are encouraged to apply. Additional Success Factors Presentation skills and ability to communicate complex issues to leadership in lay-person language and concepts. Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills. Excellent resource, planning, and time management skills along with the ability to prioritize and resolve multiple project administrative and issues under demanding schedule constraints. Ability to work within a team and associated people skills. Enjoys a dynamic work environment with a variety of internal and external stakeholders (e.g. landowners, vendors, other remote team members and various work settings). Possesses intellectual curiosity and a demonstrated flexibility and ability to scale and take on increasing responsibility as Cordelio grows. Technical Skills Experience working inside the Office 365 software environment (Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint) is considered an asset. Familiarity and/or experience in use of, project management software (Procore, Viewpoint, etc.) is considered an asset. Skilled in working with spreadsheets, collaborating on budget preparation, and purchase order systems. Skilled in the understanding of legal language and documentation as it relates to the role. Travel Requirements Up to 20% primarily to projects located in the U.S including travel to remote project locations as well as occasionally to company facilities. Must be lawfully authorized to travel within the U.S. and Canada. Location Cordelio currently has office locations in Toronto, Vancouver, New York, Chicago and Portland (Maine). This role is expected to be remotely located or may have the option to locate to an existing or future U.S. office. Must be lawfully authorized to work in the United States (without sponsorship). Compensation & Benefits The total compensation range for this position is $70,000 to $127,000 per year. Exact compensation will be determined by Cordelio and depends upon experience.
