DEI Program Specialist , you will play a vital role in supporting the Citys DEI efforts. Your responsibilities will include helping implement successful DEI initiatives, collaborating across multiple departments, receiving employee feedback, and helping identify areas of opportunity across the City. This role requires strong attention to detail, effective written and verbal communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects.
This position has an anticipated end date of December 31, 2024
Assists in implementing diversity, equity, and inclusion practices and programs with diverse populations.
Researching and information finding skills with the capacity to process and apply information to DEI initiatives
Solid multi-tasking skills with ability to move from one project to another seamlessly
Working across multiple departments within the City on DEI initiatives
Collects and analyzes data to gather employee feedback, measure the efficiency of initiatives, or identify bias in processes.
Builds consensus and community on diversity, equity, and inclusion issues.
Education and Experience
Associate's Degree or high school diploma /G.E.D. with 2 years of college level coursework
Five years of progressively responsible administrative support experience
Demonstrated working knowledge of key principles and practices of DEI, involving racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, and xenophobia, preferred
Any combination of education and experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential duties of the position
Licenses and Certificates
Valid Washington State Driver's License
