Position Summary: The position serves as the first point of contact for employees at all levels within the organization and directs employees to the proper resources within HR for assistance. This job supports the Human Resources department in providing strong administrative support on all HR related projects and activities, including but not limited to new hire administration and onboarding coordination, database administration, data tracking and input, and providing benefits support and other administrative tasks. This role will also assist with working on projects in areas such as employee relations related activities, maintenance of employee records to ensure compliance with all state/federal laws, and monitoring and tracking other employee related records and information. Responsibilities Key Accountabilities: Attends to daily employee inquiries. Assists employees with questions on policies, benefits, or other related HR issues. May support recruiting efforts such as: internal job posting program, scheduling interviews, sourcing candidates, interviewing candidates, sending offer letters, handling employment verifications, and adding to a positive candidate experience. May assist in arranging and tracking temporary help, as necessary. Completes internal forms to communicate employee changes to Payroll Department (Transfers, Terms, LOA, retroactive salary changes, retroactive benefits changes). Assists with the bi-weekly payroll (e.g., resolving timecard discrepancies). Handles on-boarding of new employees, including preparing new hire paperwork, assisting with new hire orientation, and following up with new hire employees to ensure a smooth transition. Performs general administrative tasks including but not limited to scheduling department meetings, handling employee files and I-9 (E-Verify) verification and file maintenance, Hepatitis B forms, Job Descriptions, employee document copying and replenishment, processing invoices, and ordering supplies. Enters data into HR systems such as ADP HR Portal, SAP, training websites, recruiting sites and other HR/recruitment related systems. Assists with organizing HR training initiatives for employees. Handles unemployment claims as needed. Administers various employee programs, including Scholarship Program, Service Awards, Flu Clinic and Benefits Fair. Interacts daily with plant employees and various departments to complete tasks. Other duties as requested; including but not limited to participating in special projects. Networking/Key relationships To be determined based on department needs. Qualifications Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position: High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of One (1) year previous HR experience. Skills & Capabilities: Basic knowledge of general HR principles and practices. Ability to learn and navigate various online websites, databases, and HR systems comfortably and confidently. Technologically savvy with strong MS Office skills, particularly with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Experience interacting with and maintaining confidential information. Exceptional research and data compilation skills. Highly organized and detail oriented. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written as well as an ability to be discreet and respectful towards others. Ability and willingness to provide exceptional service to our employees and third-party vendors. Strong collaboration and team working skills. Familiarity with federal, state, and local laws governing employment. Travel requirements: No travel required.
