Our Advanced Metals Processing department is equipped with a variety of cutting-edge machines that range from mills to lathes, which allows for the opportunity to broaden your capabilities. As a machine operator at our company, your precision and expertise are integral to maintaining the highest quality standards, driving manufacturing excellence, and directly influencing the success of our innovative projects. Key Responsibilities: Machine Operation: Operate CNC machines in a production environment and adjust settings as needed to maintain accuracy and efficiency. Blueprint Interpretation: Interpret blueprint dimensions accurately, in order to manufacture parts within specifications. Inspection: Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts are within specified tolerances. Adherence to Policies and Guidelines: Adhere to machining policies, Quality System Regulation (QSR), ISO standards, and safety guidelines for compliance and quality assurance promptly reporting and resolving non-compliance issues. Performance Objectives: Within 60 days: Minimize defects and errors in the production process through careful attention to detail and precision. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth workflow and coordination. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment. Develop proficiency in handling various tools used in CNC machining, including loading, unloading, and basic maintenance to ensure smooth operations. Within 90 days to one year: Operate machinery efficiently to meet or exceed production targets and deadlines. Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvement in machine operations. Consistently meet production schedules and deadlines by efficiently managing workload and prioritizing tasks effectively. Actively seek opportunities for learning and skill development related to CNC machine operation, including attending training sessions and studying relevant documentation or manuals. Position Requirements Ability to operate CNC machines with precision and thoroughness to meet quality standards in a production environment. Read and interpret blueprints and manufacture parts within specifications. Possess basic machine shop math skills and ability to perform calculations. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) using precision measuring instruments and ensure parts conform to the blueprints. Effective communication skills to convey technical information and collaborate on problem-solving. Efficient prioritization and time management skills to meet production schedules. Preferred Work flexible and extended hours as needed. Must be available to work weekends. Exceptional attention to detail to ensure the highest quality of finished products. Willingness to explore innovative machining techniques and technologies. Ability to adapt quickly to changes in machining processes or technology. Experience with any of the following machines including Bruderer, Star, Citizen, Deco, Makino, and/or Matsuura. Ability to wear personal protective equipment such as gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, etc. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
