About the Position

We are currently looking for skilled CNC Operators to join our team. This role is essential in our operations, and we have openings for both day and evening shifts. We seek individuals with extensive experience in operating CNC machinery, particularly those familiar with lathe, mill, or mill/turn processes. Candidates should possess a minimum of five years of experience in the aerospace sector, as adaptability is crucial due to the varying nature of our projects.

Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate CNC machinery, including lathes and mills (Okuma, Mori Seiki, Doosan, and Hermle systems) with Fanuc and Heidenhain controllers.
  • Validate new and existing programs for operational efficiency.
  • Edit and adjust programs and machine settings as necessary.
  • Modify feeds and speeds to optimize performance.
  • Conduct first piece inspections in accordance with blueprints.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance to ensure machine reliability.
  • Provide insights on machining techniques based on materials and part specifications.
  • Adhere to customer and company specifications during operations.
  • Assist in training new personnel as needed.
  • Contribute to fixture and tool design concepts.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC precision machining.
  • Strong mathematical skills for shop calculations.
  • Experience with prototypes and unique parts is advantageous.
  • Proficient in computer operations.
  • Programming experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
  • Demonstrated history of consistent employment.
  • Aerospace industry experience is essential.
  • Ability to utilize standard measuring tools for in-process inspections.
  • Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Thorough knowledge of machining methods, cutting tools, and operational parameters.
  • Willingness to demonstrate practical skills on machinery.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.
  • Positive, collaborative approach to work and projects.
