**Responsibilities**

* Coordinate details and menus for clients functions and maintains budgeted review through solicitation of business while controlling expenditures.

* Implement and maintain a management philosophy which serves as a guide for the team.

* Responsible for generating a definitive sales and marketing plan to achieve revenue goals.

* Manage all aspects of private event sales, from fielding inquiries, site visits and client meetings, developing proposals and negotiating contracts.

* Prospect for new business opportunities in the corporate, association, and wedding market segments.

* Establish client base of organizations, associations, social and corporate businesses through direct outside and inside sales effort for the purpose of securing business to ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.

* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients in order to produce additional business.

* Follow company processes for event finances, including pricing, sales goals, costing, client deposits and payments.

* Define monthly and quarterly event sales goals; communicate and evaluate progress against these goals with the Director of Destination Operations.

* Accurately forecast individual booking revenues and cancellations; accurately track consumption on all bookings.

* Assist the client in menu planning; coordinate food, beverage, meeting room set-up, decorations and other services requested by client; assure that all requirements are communicated and completed to the clients specifications.

* Participate in weekly banquet event order meetings and communicate details to the team.

* Communicates with the events execution team to provide event information and changes.

* Create and sustain productive relationships and negotiate contracts with event-related clients, vendors, companies and supporters.

* Adhere to established guidelines and policies.

**Education, Experience and Required Skills**

* Bachelors degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management or closely related discipline.

* At least 2 years of experience in hospitality and event management in the lifestyle, restaurant, resort, hotel, travel or winery industry.

* Detail-oriented work habits and strong organization skills required.

* Excellent personal, written and verbal communication skills.

* Extensive knowledge of computers including Google Apps, Microsoft Office and Reserve Interactive (or comparable event proposal program).

* Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

* Ability to adhere to company standards for response times and deadlines.

**Compensation and Benefits:**

* This is a full-time salaried position.
