Perform duties to maintain the practice team's filing system for the firm's client matter files and related documentation, following detailed instructions and according to standard procedures. Assist legal teams with standard limited clerical support such as document and spreadsheet updates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Organize, set up, and maintain legal documentation files, subfiles, and records. Open new files and close existing files following detailed procedure as required.
2. Assist the legal team in organizing and indexing exhibits and preparation of trial binders, as required. Update pleading indexes and/or other related indexes.
3. Assemble legal documentation into binders and assist with other related projects.
4. Assist legal teams with standard limited clerical support such as document creation, document and spreadsheet updates, and spreadsheet creation as required working under the direction of a legal secretary or team paralegal.
5. Assist the practice group with invoicing, expenses, and check requests.

OTHER DUTIES MAY INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
1. Perform or assist with any operations, as required to maintain workflow and to meet schedules and quality requirements.
2. Maintain a safe work area and comply with safety procedures and equipment operating rules keeping the work area in a clean and orderly condition.
3. Participate in any variety of meetings and task force groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems, and maintain a specified level of knowledge about new developments, requirements, and policies.
