We are seeking a dynamic and customer-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Support Specialist. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our Sioux Falls showroom customers, providing exceptional service while promoting our products and services. You will play a crucial role in serving customers, supporting sales, and ensuring a positive experience for all who enter our establishment.
Essential Functions:
Greet customers warmly as they enter the facility and assist them with any inquiries or needs.
Provide information about our products, services, and promotions to customers in a clear and enthusiastic manner.
Assist sales team with processing customer orders, including but not limited to helping customers provide fingerprints, passport-style photos, personal data, and signatures for the legal transfer of firearm suppressors.
Assist with the checking in and out of customers’ firearm barrels for gunsmithing services.
Assist with the checking in and out of customers’ firearm suppressors for warranty repair.
Actively engage customers to understand their needs and recommend appropriate products or services to meet those needs.
Process accessory and gunsmithing sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
Maintain a clean and organized showroom, including stocking merchandise and promotional materials.
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer emails or inquiries on behalf of the sales and gunsmithing teams promptly and professionally.
Follow company policies and procedures regarding customer service, sales, and compliance protocols.
Provide occasional sales support at local tradeshows and events.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Previous experience in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in using computers and point-of-sale systems.
Positive attitude and enthusiasm for helping customers.
Knowledge of firearms encouraged.
Flexibility to work in other departments (Customer Service, Shipping, Gunsmithing, Events)
Critical thinking ability - using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting pay is $20.00 and will vary based on experience and relevant skills/knowledge. As a part-time employee of the Company, you will not be eligible to participate the benefit plans provided by Silencer Central.
Enrollment in the Company-sponsored 401(k) Plan : You will become eligible to participate in the Company's 401(k) plan starting on the first of the month following date of hire. The employer match will commence after completing 6 months of continuous service.
