**GENERAL DESCRIPTION:**

Performs facility operational activities related to front desk customer services, nursery, housekeeping, youth activities, aquatics activities, and pools. Includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions of the job.

**EDUCATION:**

High School Diploma or GED equivalent. College credits preferred.

**SKILLS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:**

Communication skills, public speaking skills, organizational skills, customer relation skills. Individual must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information related to membership and employee situations. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must possess good social skills and poise. Must display good follow-through skills.

**ESSENTIALS OF JOB:**

1. Promotes the highest level of customer service at all levels, at all times.

* Provides excellent customer service by establishing and maintaining effective relationships with members, supervisor, peers, fellow employees, and the public in order to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction. (constantly)

* Greets members and guests constantly and by name frequently.

* Responds to, resolves, or refers customer inquiries effectively and in a positive manner. (constantly)

2. Responsible for selling and accurately entering ATC Memberships, programs, and services.

* Processes applications, forms, and referrals as required by various departments and programs. (frequently)

* Evaluates the customers specific needs. (frequently)

* Enrolls customers in the correct membership type. (frequently)

3. Reliably completes daily assignments including, but not limited to the following.

* Performs responsibilities related to opening and closing the facility. (constantly)

* Conducts frequent facility rounds in order to clean and monitor the facility and equipment, as well assist customers. (frequently)

4. Promotes and adheres to the policies of the Amarillo Town Club including, but not limited to the following.

* Properly checking in members and guests. (constantly)

* Collection of dues and fees. (constantly)

* Enforcing Amarillo Town Club rules. (frequently)

5. Participates in comprehensive staff training.

* a. Maintains an acceptable level of participation in educational activities for the development of skills necessary to perform job assignment. (constantly)

6. Communicates effectively, accurately and systematically with supervisor, peers, fellow employees, the membership population, and the public.

* Provides accurate information to members and the public regarding programs, pricing, hours of operation, class schedule, etc. by phone, electronically, and face to face. (constantly)

7. Maintains a safe work environment and helps ensure that established safe work habits are adhered to by all employees.

* Responds to incidents at the facility, completes Incident Report Forms and notifies Supervisor. (seldom)

* Is compliant with all applicable local, state and federal regulations. (constantly)

8. Coordinates programs and services with other departments.

* Educates staff and members about fitness programming, marketing promotions and other Amarillo Town Club programs and activities. (frequently)

9. Ensures sound fiscal management of company resources.

* Accurately enters Point of Sale transactions. (constantly)

* Issues change accurately. (constantly)

10. Must be able to commit the time necessary from an attendance and punctuality standpoint in order to accomplish the above specified Essentials of Job. (constantly)

**PHYSICAL/SPECIAL DEMANDS:**

1. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs., move up to 315 lbs. with assistance, and position self to reach up to 7 feet.

2. Must be able to move about the facility 33-66% of an 8-hour workday.

3. Must be able to remain in a stationary position up to 33% of an 8-hour workday, tolerating from 30 minutes up to 1-hour sessions.

4. Must be able to tolerate and demonstrate safe body mechanics including bending, turning, kneeling, stooping, crawling and twisting positions.

5. Must exhibit good organizational, numerical, alphabetical, reading, and writing skills.

6. Must be able to problem solve and respond quickly and calmly in stressful situations.

7. Must be able to hear to respond to telephone, overhead intercom, employee and member inquiries and in turn communicate effectively with employees and customers.

8. Visual acuity required to read reports, and for the monitoring of members/guests, including their operation and use of Amarillo Town Club equipment.

9. Cognitive skills required for reasoned interpretation of assessment and in all program needs along with good coordination and fine motor skills in grasping, adjusting controls and typing on computers.

10. Ability to ascend/descend 22 steps up to 10 times daily.

11. Possible exposure to clients with infectious conditions.****
