HRIS Specialist

A Brief Overview
The HRIS Specialist will be responsible for the coordination of all employee changes in the Human Resources Information Systems including but not limited to new hire entry, transfers, status changes and terminations. The Specialist will assist with report requests and applicable dashboard data entry. The incumbent will assist in the implementation or upgrade of Human Resources applications.

What you will do

  • Responsible for the coordination of new hire data entry. Ensures accurate data is entered in the system, audits data after each orientation and works with the on-boarding team to streamline the process where appropriate.
  • Monitors HR Change system requests and enters approved actions in the Human Resources Information System. Reaches out to the Compensation staff in regards to action approvals and ensures actions are completed timely by the close of each payroll period.
  • Responsible for the timely entry of terminations once approved by Business Advisory.
  • Assists in the development of requested reporting. Sends reports to departmental or organizational leadership when requested.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the Human Resources dashboards. Enters HRIS data monthly and works with other Human Resources departments to ensure all dashboards are completed timely.
  • Responsible for monitoring employee licensure and ensuring all staff have the appropriate licensure or certification as outlined in the job description. Notifies Business Advisory when a license or certifcation has expired.
  • Assists in the implementation of new applications and upgrades when required.
  • Coordinates the PTO Sell Back and Catastrophic Leave programs.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Information Technology, Human Resources or related field Required
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR)-HRCI Preferred
  • SHRM-CP Preferred
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Human Resources Required
  • Related experience with Human Resources Information Systems Preferred
