This team cultivates mutual capacity strengthening among all of Outreach International’s partner organizations around the world. The Global Program Specialist will serve as a technical advisor and partnership liaison with 4 to 5 partners, cultivating our relationship with these independent organizations. They will also participate in ongoing strategic initiatives in collaboration with the Global Program Operations team and eight international program partner teams. Primary Responsibilities: Program Liaison and Support Liaise with 4 to 5 of OI’s program partner organizations by enabling proactive, strategic, and regionally specific operational dialogue with local team leaders and partner staff. Coordinate communications between Global Program Operations and other OI departments as needed, proactively providing program updates to Marketing and Development. Manage and respond to requests and concerns of program partner organizations, including review of reports, proposals, and other communications. Data Analysis & Technical Support Deeply engage with and support the OI program data monitoring system, including developing data visualizations, dashboards, and data collection tools. Support international program partners by engaging them in learning and data-operationalization opportunities. Participate in and often lead program assessments, including OI’s partnership audits & impact evaluations. With others in Global Program Operations, ensure data is effectively communicated through our various internal and external channels. Research & Advocacy In alignment with the strategies set by OI’s Senior Director of Research & Advocacy, support external and internal research and evaluation activities primarily related to programs and projects where assigned. Research and resulting data will inform programmatic decision-making and design. When needed, engage in advocacy mobilizations of Outreach International supporters and donors with program teaching and data-sharing opportunities. Other Simultaneous Initiatives Create a positive team environment adhering to OI’s organizational values and management principles. Travel internationally to monitor and support the program outputs and program partner staff. As much as 25% may be necessary. Experience & Skills Required: Master’s degree in a related area, or a bachelor’s degree in a related area. Experience in advocacy for international, community development, humanitarian or human rights, or women’s rights. Ability to think and operate strategically, independently, and creatively. Flexibility – comfortable operating in support and stepping into leadership, including the willingness and ability to act as a spokesperson when necessary, Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to communicate clearly and work both independently and collaboratively as needed, in a cross-cultural setting with a number of remote working relationships, some outside normal working hours and across time zones. Diverse and complex problem-solving skills as well as strong leadership with initiative, influencing skills, self-awareness, and ability to work effectively with others of diverse skill sets. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish. Extensive experience in Google Drive and Microsoft Office programs, including high-level proficiency in Google Sheets and Excel, and the use of pivot tables, formulas, and charts within. Demonstrate a high degree of honesty and integrity. Ability to foster and maintain a spirit of unity, teamwork, and cooperation. Sensitive in working with multiple cultures and belief sets, and to gender equity. Willingness to stay abreast of professional standards, trends, and issues affecting this set of responsibilities, demonstrating continuous learning of the field. Preferred: 2+ years of work experience in a related field. Training and facilitation skills. Experience and understanding of extreme poverty and international development work. Experience working in and/or interest in developing capacity for data visualization tools, such as PowerBi, Tableau, Google Data Studio, or similar; PowerBi experience strongly preferred. Experience in shepherding the application for and execution of grant funds, including USAID funding and reporting. Written and verbal proficiency in another language (Bemba, French, Hindi, Khmer, Nepali, Oriya, Quechua, Swahili, or Tagalog are of interest).
