Key Responsibilities:
- **Coordinate with Procurement Team:** Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to identify projected delivery dates of expected shipments and provide updates to relevant departments, ensuring seamless project coordination.
- **Incoming Call Management:** Answer incoming calls, take notes, and transfer calls as necessary to the appropriate departments or personnel.
- **Shipping and Receiving Operations:** Assist in the dispatching of inbound and outbound shipments to ensure proper delivery and receipt to the final location.
- **Inventory Management:** Receive, unload, and unpack shipments of purchased products, inspecting for damage and correct quantities.
- **Damage and Shortage Reporting:** Report damages or shortages to the appropriate person, ensuring prompt resolution.
- **Data Entry and Record-Keeping:** Match shipments to their associated purchase orders and enter receiving data on relevant paperwork, recording receiving data in company databases.
- **Import/Export Logistics:** Maintain import/export logs, identifying new products/materials for inventory and creating locations for proper storage and tracking.
- **Inventory Preparation:** Prepare and organize received stock for inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and storage.
- **Damaged Product Return:** Return damaged products to senders for refund or replacement.
- **Inventory Monitoring:** Monitor inventory levels, assisting in counting and upkeep of inventory.
- **Additional Tasks:** Perform other tasks as necessary and directed by management.
Requirements:
- **Basic Math and Organization Skills:** Possess basic math and organizational skills, with the ability to work accurately and efficiently.
- **Physical Demands:** Ability to bend and lift 35 pounds or more, on occasion.
- **Attention to Detail:** Detail-oriented mindset, with a focus on accuracy and quality.
- **Data Entry and Computer Skills:** Proficiency in data entry and computer skills, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
