Job Responsibilities:


As a Safety and Security Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and security of guests, employees, vendors, and assets at our venue through diligent patrol, observation, and documentation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters and managing the resolution of incidents.
  • Providing assistance to local public safety agencies as necessary to achieve the safety and security objectives of the venue.
  • Delivering exceptional customer service while interacting with guests, vendors, and employees in a professional manner.
  • Maintaining a high standard of conduct and appearance while on duty, adhering to the department's performance and attendance standards.
  • Effectively managing duties under varying circumstances, ensuring tasks are completed within established guidelines and deadlines.

Key Duties:


Your essential duties will include:

  • Engaging with patrons, vendors, and employees courteously while complying with all legal and ethical directives from security management.
  • Enforcing event policies and responding promptly to security and safety-related calls.
  • Observing, reporting, and documenting all activities, ensuring accurate records of incidents.
  • Screening individuals entering the venue to verify appropriate access and reviewing documentation for validity.
  • Assisting with customer service inquiries before, during, and after events, including providing directions and medical assistance.
  • Conducting facility patrols, inspecting guest belongings, and preventing prohibited items from entering.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of relevant work experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in English.
  • A basic understanding of laws and regulations related to safety and security.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a commission license.
  • Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
  • The capacity to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and move about the venue for extended periods.
  • The ability to lift materials and equipment weighing up to 45 lbs.
