Description

SUMMARY

This position will require skills necessary to compile detailed written documentation and ability to complete system administration responsibilities. Primary duties will include system administration along with assisting the Senior HR officer in matters involving personnel and other items as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned as needed:

  • Provides clerical and administrative support to the Human Resources Department.
  • Assists the Senior Human Resources Officer with documentation and research involving personnel matters.
  • Completes necessary set up and maintenance for employees within appropriate HR systems.
  • Assists with employment activities such as interviews, background checks and the hiring/onboarding process.
  • Prepares and files requests for employment verification, unemployment information, injury reports, etc.
  • May assist in the payroll processing.
  • Performs and assists in special project work as assigned.
  • Understands and supports all BSA/AML responsibilities as applicable to the position as well as consistently, accurately, and timely carry out these responsibilities in compliance with the Bank's internal policies.
  • Assists with day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret policies and procedures. Ability to write detailed and timely documentation.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
