Position Summary:
The Human Resources Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting the HR department by addressing work-related matters, conducting investigations, managing leaves of absence, and overseeing benefits administration. This position ensures adherence to corporate policies, equitable employment practices, and relevant government regulations.
Key Responsibilities (not exhaustive and subject to modification):
· Conduct thorough investigations into employee relations matters such as harassment, grievances, and safety concerns.
· Provide guidance to supervisors and managers on HR-related issues, including recruitment, termination, and disciplinary actions.
· Collaborate with HR headquarters to manage workers' compensation claims and ensure timely processing of payroll.
· Oversee the maintenance of timekeeping systems and update policies regarding pay, holidays, etc.
· Revise job descriptions and requirements for all positions.
· Recommend and update forms and policies to comply with federal and state regulations.
· Monitor employees' probationary periods, training, warnings, and certifications to ensure compliance.
· Attend professional development seminars and webinars to stay informed about new laws and procedures, sharing updates with HR colleagues.
· Maintain proficiency in company policies and procedures.
· Safeguard employee confidentiality and protect sensitive HR information.
· Manage and track various types of leave, including FMLA and NJFLA.
· Administer disciplinary actions and terminations as necessary.
· Ensure compliance with legal posting requirements.
· Verify that all work authorizations are current.
· Coordinate with production and logistics departments to process agency staff timecards.
· Provide technical support for company-issued mobile devices.
· Assist with administrative tasks and general affairs as needed.
Qualifications:
· 3-5 years of experience in Human Resources.
· Bachelor's degree in a related field.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Knowledge of benefits administration.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
· Familiarity with Adobe products: Illustrator and Photoshop.
· Strong ethical standards and a commitment to confidentiality.
