As the firm’s lead Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities, fostering client relationships, and promoting our comprehensive range of services to potential clients within the construction, land development, municipal and government sectors. You will work closely with our land surveying division and civil engineering team to grow the Client basis and foster existing and future relationships in both public and private sectors. Key Responsibilities: -Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and relationship building. Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve sales targets and expand the firm’s client base across the state of Texas. Research market trends and competitor activities to identify potential opportunities for growth. -Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients. Understand client needs and requirements to effectively present and promote our services. Respond promptly to client inquiries and concerns, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. -Proposal Development: Prepare and present proposals for engineering and surveying services, pricing quotes, and presentations to existing and prospective clients. Collaborate with the technical team to tailor solutions that meet client requirements and expectations. -Marketing and Promotion: Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote our services and build brand awareness. Utilize digital marketing tools and platforms to enhance visibility and generate leads. -Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline development, firm backlog, and client communications using CRM software. Provide regular reports and updates to management on sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred). Proven experience in sales, business development, or client management, ideally within the construction or engineering sectors. Strong understanding of civil engineering and land surveying services is highly advantageous, however not required. On-the-job education and training are available. Excellent internal and external communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
