Emory, United States Kpler Full time

At Kpler, we are dedicated to helping our clients navigate complex markets with ease. Join us to leverage cutting-edge innovation for impactful results and experience unparalleled support on your journey to success. What you’ll do

To put it simply, we are looking for someone who understands how things work on the bridge of a vessel. You will be working with our engineering and AIS team to look at strategies to acquire data from the vessel’s VDR and other vessel’s data silos. Data acquisition means the collection, processing and transmission of meaningful signals to track vessel movements and performances. It requires a very hands-on approach with no hesitation to get into nitty-gritty operational details, great client facing skills, combined with a strategic mindset to define an approach that can be scaled to onboard 100+ vessels per month. You will also be the main point of contact of our connectivity partners located in Greece and other countries. Your missions

Build strategic partnerships with the shipping hardware industry, whether they are VDR makers or IoT providers. Create and validate a clear onboarding process for client vessels. Handle cyber security concerns in hand with our IT team. If necessary seek for the right certifications (ISO, class approvals). Educate your colleagues on vessel hardware and connectivity. Understand and map the ecosystem of companies in the field of vessel connectivity. Managing and prioritizing the requirements backlog to fit business needs in your crew/squad. Assessing competition products and trends so as to stay competitive. Learn and follow the product governance best practices and agile methodologies. Working with the sales and customer success teams to push the adoption of the product. Never stop learning and sharing. Preferred experience

You have at least 5 years experience on vessel bridge connectivity (mandatory). You know how to deploy hardware and/or software aboard vessels. You have worked closely with the shipping industry and more particularly shipowners. You have a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit. You have the ability to solve complex problems and multitasking. You are a true and kind team player, quick learner, and able to work with short deadlines across different tasks. You are a great communicator and team player. You are native or bilingual in English (mandatory). Process

First visio interview with our Talent Manager — 30 minutes. Interview with Antoine (Director) — 30 minutes. Interview with Shruti and Darren (Product and Engineering Director) — 1h. Meet the team — 30 minutes x 2 (Bettina, PM, Panagiotis G. EM). Meet Jean (co-founder, CVO) — 15 minutes. Offer chat if all goes well with Antoine. Antoine will call you in between all key interview steps to provide you feedback and to get yours. If you thrive on customer satisfaction and turning ideas into reality, then you’ve found your ideal destination. Are you ready to embark on this exciting journey with us? Our People Pledge

Don’t meet every single requirement? Research shows that women and people of color are less likely than others to apply if they feel like they don’t match 100% of the job requirements.
