Hourly | Full-Time Function: Purchasing Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Veterans/Disabled The Purchasing and Inventory Specialist is responsible for purchasing and inventory control duties to support the machine manufacturing segment of the business **Main Duties & Responsibilities** * Purchase supplies, materials, parts and components for machine manufacturing, engineering, production and spare parts safety stock * Generate purchase orders and issue to vendors * Maintain quotes by vendor in the system and generate reports as required * Communicate with suppliers to resolve problems that may arise regarding delivery, quality, or price * Create work orders for assemblies * Complete WIP receipts for all work orders * Review work order receipts for accuracy * Close projects as needed * Participate in quarterly inventory counts, resolve errors in counts as required * Performs other duties as assigned. **Qualifications** * Bachelor's Degree in relevant field helpful, but not mandatory * 3+ years of experience in purchasing, inventory control, or logistics * Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Office Products, ERP Software) * Strong math and analytical skills * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * High level of attention to detail * Understanding of basic mechanical and electrical components is desirable * Experience with Solid Works is helpful, but not required
