Job Overview

We are currently seeking an AM Inventory Specialist to join our team and contribute to our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management Duties

  • Conduct daily physical inventory assessments to ensure accuracy.
  • Monitor product quality and communicate any discrepancies to the purchasing team.
  • Organize new product placements and update inventory locations.
  • Collaborate with buyers to resolve issues related to product quantity and quality.
  • Generate and provide inventory reports to the inventory control manager.
  • Utilize cherry pickers for elevated inventory counts.
  • Oversee and maintain the inventory management system.
  • Perform regular audits of physical inventory to ensure compliance.
  • Assist in annual physical inventory evaluations.

Quality Assurance Responsibilities

  • Inspect incoming shipments and stored products, documenting their condition.
  • Verify that products in storage meet quality standards on a daily basis.
  • Ensure proper product rotation during daily checks and report any issues to the responsible staff.
  • Analyze quality-related problems and propose effective solutions.
  • Implement corrective measures to prevent future spoilage.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management abilities.
  • Creative and innovative problem-solving skills.
  • Effective listening and communication skills.
  • Proficient in complex problem-solving.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a produce distribution or food manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient in inventory management software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in cold and wet environments, with temperatures as low as zero degrees.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand or sit for extended periods.

Work Schedule:

  • Five days a week, including Saturdays, with a standard start time.
  • Training sessions will commence at an early hour.
