Inventory Control Specialist – NSA Chicago

Reports To: Operations Specialist

Direct Reports: N/A

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Overview: To manage all raw material inventories (fabric and trims), utilizing the business software and other system tools as required

Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage the inventory of raw materials and components utilizing the TCM system.  This includes performing cycle counts as needed to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Manage the space, bin locations, and overall organization/cleanliness of all warehouse areas.
  • Performing daily/weekly inventory counts of production supplies.
  • Reporting discrepancies in inventory to the supply chain team.
  • Working with the production team on gathering needed materials for upcoming orders.
  • Working with the receiving team to make sure product is properly put away.
  • Ordering supplies from vendors when reorder points are reached.

Training: Provided on the job and may be supplemented with external, local, or out-of-town training.

Qualifications:

Education & Certifications: High school diploma or GED preferred.

Experience: 1 year of office administration/inventory management experience

Key Competencies: Persistence (wants it done, and wants it done right), positive attitude, dependable, analytical thinking, problem solving, good communication skills, and functional computer skills (email, logs/tracking)

Physical Requirements: Must be able to stand for duration of shift, Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Working Conditions: Manufacturing and Warehouse environment, consistent background machine noise.
