Role Overview:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and curious professional with an interest in technology to join our team as a Business Development Intern. This person will work directly with our VP of Business Development on initiatives to expand our Managed IT Services client base. The Business Development Intern will initiate contact with potential clients by cold and warm calling, strategic emailing, foot prospecting, and networking (training and support will be provided). The BD Intern will attend first appointments with our VP of Business Development to learn our discovery, proposal, and presentation process. At TeamLogic IT, we take a consultative approach to sales. Here is what you can expect to gain in this role:

• Valuable experience in sales and business development. • Opportunity to work closely with and learn from senior executives. • Hands-on exposure to the sales process from prospecting to closing. • Develop communication and negotiation skills. • Potential for future career opportunities within the organization based on performance.

Functional Job Components

45% - Calling active leads: A lead list will be provided with the contact information of our prospect. The goal is to set a first appointment.

20% - Strategic Emailing: Sending follow-up emails to active leads. Setting secondary appointments with past leads who declined or were not ready to buy.

20% - Foot Prospecting: Using our lead lists and CRM to map out prospect addresses to visit and drop off marketing material to the primary contact.

10% - First Appointments: Joining the VP of Business Development on first appointments to learn our discovery process.

5% - Networking Events: Attending networking events at associations like the chamber of commerce or other hosted networking events.

Duration and Compensation:

6 month internship position with an opportunity to extend.

Compensation is $18.00 per hour + $25.00 for each new scheduled appointment + $100 for each new client signed from new appointment.
