Primary Responsibilities
As an intern, you will play a vital role in:
- Interacting with the public at advocacy events, political gatherings, and non-profit functions, promoting community engagement and awareness.
- Supporting grassroots initiatives, including voter outreach campaigns, canvassing efforts, and event planning.
- Assisting in the development and implementation of public relations strategies that necessitate active community involvement.
- Collaborating with a diverse team and engaging with individuals from various backgrounds, while respecting and navigating differing viewpoints.
- Managing event logistics, including setup, outreach, and participant interaction.
Required Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university in Arizona, preferably in fields such as Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Political Science, or similar disciplines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Open-mindedness and comfort in engaging with individuals who hold diverse perspectives.
- A proactive and hands-on approach with a willingness to participate in all facets of event management and public engagement.
- Access to a reliable vehicle, a valid driver's license, and current insurance and registration.
- Residing in the Phoenix metropolitan area.
Compensation Details
This internship is unpaid; however, you will gain invaluable practical experience that is not available in a classroom setting. We offer reimbursement for travel-related expenses, such as fuel, and provide opportunities for professional growth and networking.
Internship Duration
The internship duration is flexible, ranging from 3 to 6 months, based on your availability and the requirements of KB Woods. We will collaborate with you to establish a schedule that accommodates your academic and personal commitments.
