Interior Design Internship Opportunity

Are you a passionate design student eager to gain hands-on experience in the world of interior design? Victoria King Design is offering an exciting internship where you'll dive into the creative process and contribute to real projects from day one.  The ideal candidate is creative, motivated self-starter who is eager to learn the business of design.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist with detailed drawings using SketchUp and AutoCAD. 
  • Source furniture and finishes that align with our aesthetic.  Learn Studio Designer software, setting up inspirations that will be used for projects.
  • Contribute to the development of client presentations.  
  • Set up accessories such as bedding and pillows, and take inventory for furniture installations.  Assist with logistics such as coordinating deliveries, and maintaining cleanliness while homes are being set up.
  • Support our social media and e-commerce efforts, ensuring our online presence reflects our brand.
  • Bonus: If you have Squarespace programming skills, you'll have the opportunity to help refine our website. Knowledge of AI tools like Motion or Zapier is also a plus.

What We're Looking For:

  • Strong knowledge of SketchUp, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, Canva, and Photoshop.
  • A portfolio showcasing your student design work.
  • Enrollment in a design program.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and a keen eye for detail.
  • Reliable transportation.  This position is hybrid with about 25% of the time spent in the field or in office.  This can include locations within an hour radius. 
  • Hours are flexible ranging from 5-15 hours per week.
  • Applicants must have their own computer and a reliable internet connection to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Availability to start immediately.
