We are looking for a driven, ambitious, and experienced Financial Data Analyst . We would like to talk with you if you are a mission-driven individual who is interested in helping a financially-focused agency ingest corporate data and analyze it effectively for anomalies in trading data. What you will be doing Data analysis to identify potential trading violations and issues Working with large data extracts which may need transformation and manipulation prior to analysis What you need to be considered for this role (required) Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Statistics, Math or Computer Science (Master’s in any of these a plus) 3+ years of related work experience Prior experience and proven interest in the financial services industry either working for an asset management firm or supporting a capital markets compliance team Familiarity with the different types of securities that the funds trade and how trading is conducted Proficiency with MS Excel and Bloomberg Terminal Ability to use multiple financial toolkits for data analysis Ability to analyze and make sense of complex information Ability to effectively and efficiently multi-task, prioritize, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong work ethic and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong verbal and written communication skills U.S. Citizenship required (dual nationals not eligible) Position will require a Public Trust background investigation What makes you stand out from the crowd (desired) Master’s Degree in Financial Engineering or any of the above areas Experience in Securities Operations field Strong understanding of technology, including databases, SQL, API, and Python About Us Ascella Technologies develops and implements innovative technology solutions to deliver business outcomes and help clients manage risk.
