Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced Proofpoint engineer that will leverage Proofpoint technologies to enhance our email security posture. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in cybersecurity, and email protection systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Proofpoint Administration:

  • Administer and manage Proofpoint solutions.

  • Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Proofpoint systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

  • Plan and execute upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities for Proofpoint systems.


Email Security:

  • Implement and manage email security policies and protocols to protect against phishing, malware, and other email-borne threats.

  • Analyze email security incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective measures.


Security Administration:

  • Collaborate with the cybersecurity team to ensure robust security measures and compliance with industry standards.

  • Technical Support and Troubleshooting:

  • Provide advanced technical support for Proofpoint-related issues.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers and IT support staff.


Documentation and Reporting:

  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of server and Proofpoint configurations, procedures, and processes.

  • Generate regular reports on system performance, security incidents, and maintenance activities.


Qualifications:

Education :

  • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

Experience :

  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Proofpoint administration and management.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong understanding of network protocols and services (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

  • Experience with email systems and security protocols (SMTP, DMARC, DKIM, SPF).

  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.

  • Familiarity with other email security solutions and cybersecurity frameworks.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.

Communication Skills:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Project Management:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
