Job Overview: The Senior Security Engineering Specialist collaborates with Business Sales to promote T-Mobile for Business products and services by utilizing their robust technical expertise, experience, and industry insights.
This role involves engaging in pre-sales activities, consulting on customer opportunities to understand their business needs, identifying challenges, and crafting tailored solutions.
The Senior Specialist is responsible for architecting and designing solutions, providing pre-sales technical support during sales presentations, conducting product demonstrations, and addressing customers' technical inquiries, establishing themselves as a leader among peers.
Additionally, the Senior Specialist supports Business Sales by reviewing specific customer opportunities and sales pipelines, keeping the Business Sales teams informed about relevant technologies and industry trends.
They are expected to maintain expert-level knowledge in Device Security, Endpoint Security, and collaborate with customers, Sales Engineers, and Sales teams to drive sales and achieve financial objectives.
Furthermore, they will obtain and maintain product-specific certifications as necessary, comprehend and present product roadmaps, assist with post-sale support and escalations, and maintain a high-level understanding of T-Mobile's wireless network and related technologies.
The Senior Specialist enhances their technical skills and industry knowledge by participating in both internal and external training opportunities and pursuing necessary partner or industry certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage in pre-sales activities, including providing technical input for RFPs, strategizing with the sales team to enhance regional and national sales, and managing customer technical relationships.
- Design and architect services and solutions, uncover opportunities, and recommend solutions while demonstrating product roadmaps to customers and sales teams.
- Act as a technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Solution Engineering organization for security applications and concepts.
- Design and support the implementation of Proofs of Concept (PoCs) and Return on Values (RoVs) tailored to specific customer expectations.
- Execute Go-to-Market strategies in collaboration with sales, product, and third-party vendors.
- Assist in training and creating technical documentation for the Solution Engineering and Business Sales teams.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales Operations, and Customer Care teams to provide feedback, support special projects, and engage in market-level opportunities.
Education:
Bachelor's Degree (Required)
MS/MBA (Preferred)
Work Experience:
5+ years of experience in telecommunications and pre-sales solution engineering with a proven track record of successful solution sales, managing internal and external relationships in a matrix environment, technical leadership, project management, and providing strategic direction in a leadership role.
5+ years of experience in engineering or supporting secure cloud services, SASE, Zero Trust Foundations, Endpoint Protection, Hybrid and Multi-Cloud, Data Management, and/or SD solutions and architectures.
Experience with container environments such as Kubernetes and public cloud certifications is preferred.
Experience working with both technical and non-technical teams to define, scope, and prioritize product requirements.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Proficient technical documentation and presentation skills to effectively convey design benefits to diverse audiences.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams; excellent interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical and quantitative skills; a preference for data-driven decision-making and comfort with analysis.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Industry security certifications and experience in Collaboration/UC are preferred.
Licenses and Certifications:
Experience and certification in Microsoft security and licensing solutions are required.
Total Target Cash Pay Range:
$131,600 - $237,400, inclusive of target incentives
Base Pay Range:
$92,120 - $166,180. The pay range above represents the general base pay range for a successful candidate in this role. The actual pay will depend on various factors, including work location, qualifications, and experience.
