Insurance Sales Development at Valon The Insurance Sales Development team is primarily focused on growing insurance revenue for Valon Insurance by converting Valon homeowners into insurance customers. The team works closely with cross-functional departments like Marketing, Product, Client Engagement, and Third-party Insurance Agency partners to drive customer conversion. The team is responsible for articulating Valon Insurance’s value propositions to and managing inbound and outbound interactions with prospective insurance buyers About the Role We are looking for enthusiastic sales managers to help us build and lead the Insurance Sales Development team. As an Insurance Sales Development Manager, you are expected to lead all aspects of the Sales Development Team including training and developing the sales team, managing the sales pipeline, owning team performance metrics, building sales processes and best practices, and recruiting sales talent. As a new and lean team, you will also be responsible for helping us test and iterate on sales processes and marketing content. The ideal candidate is someone who has prior sales and sales management experience, is able to build and iterate on sales processes, and can drive sales performance across the team. Responsibilities Establish sales processes and best practices Set and manage conversion goals for the team Recruit, train, and develop sales talent Work cross-functionally with product and business operations teams to implement and/or develop sales management tooling Manage call campaigns and customer interactions in the CRM platform Create multi-channel sales strategies across phone, email, and other channels and monitor performance metrics for each channel Work closely with Client Engagement and Lending teams to develop and manage cross-sell initiatives Establish insurance sales guidelines, processes, and SLAs Provide constructive feedback on improving the overall effectiveness of insurance marketing campaigns, sales processes, and third-party agency partners Make outbound calls and transfer leads to our insurance agency partners for customer conversion Expected Outcomes Convert 25%+ of target homeowners to insurance customers Ideal Background 5+ years experience in building and leading sales teams Strong oral and written communication skills Strong organizational and sales process management skills Ability to help the team prioritize and manage their sales pipeline Ability to quickly learn and adopt systems and processes Demonstrate a resilient and positive attitude Proven record of driving team sales performance and working in fast-paced environments Prior insurance experience is preferred but not required* *If you do not currently have an active insurance producer license, you will be expected to take and pass the requisite insurance licensing exam within 60 days of hire - Valon will reimburse associated fees for the first attempt.
