SBA was created in 1953 as an independent agency of the Federal government to aid, counsel, assist and protect the interests of small business concerns, to preserve free competitive enterprise, and to maintain and strengthen the overall economy of our nation. SBA is responsible for ensuring the governmentwide goal for participation of small businesses in Federal contracting. This position is contingent upon the contract award. Responsibilities: Work on the entire application process for all GCBD cases to deliver a final recommendation of approval Analyze and review GCBD applications for relevance and quality to determine a recommended determination to SBA officials based on the supplied and required documentation and available research for each case assigned Process complex GCBD cases with expert knowledge of business structures, applicable regulations, and statutes.
