Description Job Title Facilities Coordinator Location Manchester, NH Purpose and Importance of Position Responsible for maintaining facility and/or working closely with building management and vendors to keep facilities in working order. Essential Functions Participates in small building projects and facilities point person for larger renovation projects. Moves furniture and/or office supplies. Performs semi-skilled and skilled carpentry, painting, and electrician and plumbing projects as needed. Inspects and performs maintenance on HVAC . Maintains records of activities including preventative maintenance services. Operates a variety of hand and power tools. Performs a variety of electrical repair and maintenance such as replacement of switches, lighting systems and generators. Identifies damaged or worn electrical components and takes corrective action. Prepares surfaces for staining, frosting and painting, applies product to buildings interiors and wood work. Performs General Building Maintenance: Maintains records on furniture. Constructs and repairs shelves, cabinets, countertops and furniture as needed. Repairs carpets and tiles as necessary. Repairs doors and ceilings. Plumbing: Installs, repairs and maintains plumbing fixtures such as faucets, sinks, toilets and water heaters. Makes and distributes keys. Manages, organizes and delegate work to vendors. Inspects facility regularly to determine renovation needs and/or safety. Breaks down and Sets up for large meetings. Related Functions Serves on organizational committees and projects as assigned. Serves on Safety Committee. May be assigned other duties as needed relating to building maintenance/construction. Required Skills Knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, heating and electricity, painting. HVAC skills preferred. Excellent customer service skills. Basic computer skills including outlook and service desk logging system. Must be able to lift up to 100 lbs. Must be comfortable with heights, including climbing and moving ladders as needed. Driver's license and motor vehicle transportation. Experience 5 years of experience working in general maintenance. Required Education HVAC classes and/or license. Preferred Education or Certification Apprenticeship in a trade with journeyman level of one trade. GED or High school graduate. Supervisory Role Schedule, assign, and review the work of the Facilities Assistant in compliance with specific instructions. Travel Local travel to hardware and electrical supply stores. Work Environment / Physical Demands This position operates in a professional based collaborative environment and must have the ability to timely produce thorough, accurate work with many competing demands, deadlines, and distractions.The position uses standard equipment such as phones, computers, copiers/printers and filing cabinets. Noise level is moderate. While this is a largely sedentary role, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear; stand; walk; bend; use hands to handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. On occasion the individual must be able to lift and transport boxes weighing up to 100 pounds.
