FUNCTION:

The Lead Revenue Audit Clerk is responsible for compiling and auditing revenue records, control documents, and preparing reports for all areas of the casino.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Ensure compliance of GCB MICS, Controls, IPE's and Regs for daily revenue audits.
  2. Complete the daily balancing of revenue to the P & L and balance sheet.
  3. Responsible for verifying accuracy and correctness of figures, calculations and posting of all recorded transactions against original documents.
  4. Receive casino related transaction reports with associated supporting documents for Title 31 auditing.
  5. Reconcile reports to supporting documents in accordance with established internal gaming controls, as outlined on daily/weekly/monthly/ annual checklists.
  6. Issues Exception Reports for any instances of non-compliance with established internal controls.
  7. Provide and monitor training to the Revenue Audit department ensuring Audit Clerks receive adequate guidance, resources, and information on job performance.
  8. Ensure all requests by internal and external auditors are completed in a timely manner.
  9. Responsible for identifying and reporting suspicious activity via a SAR report within the required time frame.
  10. Coordinate with Accounting Manager concerning revenue discrepancies and proposed adjustments to be made to correct the same.
  11. Prepare daily recurring journal entries to record daily activity, as appropriate.
  12. Assist the Revenue Audit Clerks with completing daily audits and ensuring regulations have been followed.
  13. Prepare and complete the daily audits as assigned in a timely manner.
  14. Arrange timelines to complete tasks and department assignments or projects, and meet the deadlines related to those assignments.
  15. Resolve and research guest disputes while maintaining a positive guest experience.
  16. Responsible for auditing all areas of the casino operations and preparing exception reports for all errors.
  17. Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate.
  18. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  19. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  20. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  21. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  22. Regular predictable attendance is required.
  23. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Audit Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. AAS in Accounting preferred.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum 1 year previous auditing experience required, preferably in a hospitality/casino environment.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

Advanced skill in the use of Microsoft Office including, Excel, Word, and Outlook and 10 key by touch.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Nevada Employee Gaming registration is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation.

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels. Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
