They provide state of the art care for rural populations and have been a staple of their community for almost 100 years This position will report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer at this facility. Reporting to the Surgical Services Nurse Manager is a PACU/Recovery Unit Charge nurse and an Assistant Nurse Manager in the Operating Room. Additionally, this Manager will lead a tenured and energetic team of Scrub/Circulating RNs, Surg Techs, and Sterile Processing professionals. The Perioperative Services Unit is comprised of surgical staff that include seasoned Orthopedic and Endoscopy specialists. Other areas of surgical specialties include Urology, OB/GYN, and ENT populations, as well as General surgery. The Nurse Manager will supervise the care of both the Operating Room and the Endoscopy suite, as well as overseeing operational ability, availability of medications and supplies, and ensuring necessary cleanliness of the unit. The Manager of Surgical Services will be responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the operating room and affiliated areas. This role also covers supervising all nurses and technical personnel assigned to the unit, coordinating the daily activities of all personnel, and furnishing sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, and services for the care and treatment of patients.
