This position requires you to make sure all equipment is safe and efficient to run. Location: 1528 Cardinal Avenue, Fort Dodge, IA 50501 Pay: $22 - $24/hour Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday Measures of Success- Supplier Management:
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards.
- Assist the Director of Procurement in coordinating and executing purchasing activities including creating and managing purchase orders.
- Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Assist the Director of Procurement in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
- Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
- Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions or discrepancies.
- Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings.
- Analyze market trends and industry developments to recommend strategies for improving procurement efficiency.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software, SAP, Ariba, and Specright.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Work is performed in an office environment within a manufacturing facility.
- Hours of work will be during regular business hours 8-5 Monday through Friday
