This position requires you to make sure all equipment is safe and efficient to run. Location: 1528 Cardinal Avenue, Fort Dodge, IA 50501 Pay: $22 - $24/hour Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday Measures of Success
  1. Supplier Management:
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Conduct supplier audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards.
Procurement Process:
  • Assist the Director of Procurement in coordinating and executing purchasing activities including creating and managing purchase orders.
  • Monitor inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
  • Assist the Director of Procurement in negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to achieve the best value for the company.
Documentation and Compliance:
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, including purchase orders, invoices, and delivery receipts.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
  • Work closely with production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement activities with overall business goals.
  • Address and resolve any issues related to procurement, including supply chain disruptions or discrepancies.
Reporting and Analysis:
  • Prepare and present regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and cost savings.
  • Analyze market trends and industry developments to recommend strategies for improving procurement efficiency.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate Attributes
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong negotiation skills and experience managing supplier relationships.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software, SAP, Ariba, and Specright.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Working Conditions
  • Work is performed in an office environment within a manufacturing facility.
  • Hours of work will be during regular business hours 8-5 Monday through Friday
