The Field Staff Supervisor is accountable for managing a caseload of LIFETIME Care at Home field staff including Activity Assistants, PCAs/CNAs and Live Ins. The Supervisor will coach, evaluate, and train the caregiver team to ensure clear communication, a team environment, and follow through of policies and procedures. An essential responsibility will be implementing ways to improve caregiver retention. The Field Staff Supervisor works closely with Client Service Managers and assists with case management when needed. Field Staff Supervisor also coordinates with Scheduling team to monitor caregiver performance

Responsibilities:

  • 1. Staff Management
    Manages performance of field staff to achieve a level of caregiver and client satisfaction that far exceeds that of competitors and positions LIFETIME as the non-medical home care employer of choice in CT.
    1. Develop and execute a caregiver retention program with measurable results to improve 30, 60, 90 day and lifetime retention of caregivers.
    2. Works in conjunction with the Recruitment Specialist.
    3. Communicates performance standards so staff is completely clear about what is expected of them.
    4. Respectfully communicates performance issues with caregivers in a timely manner.
    5. Ability to hold employees accountable and facilitate disciplinary action including suspensions and terminations when necessary.
    6. Observes individual field staff in a client?s home at established intervals and provides written feedback on performance.
    7. Analyzes performance problems, coaches, counsels and uses recognition, reward and positive discipline to achieve improved employee performance
    8. Conducts performance reviews 90 days after date of hire and yearly on the anniversary of their hire date.
    9. Communicates organizational goals, procedures, performance and changes to staff.
    10. Solicits employee suggestions and involves employees in work improvements.
    11. Develops and maintains a staff recognition program to reward staff
    12. Works with Human Resources and follows Lifetime protocol for progressive discipline and terminations.
    13. Supervises field staff on light duty and coordinates light duty work.
    14. Works in conjunction with the Scheduling department in tracking field staff attendance and client complaints.


Qualifications:

EDUCATION

High School Diploma
Two years of college preferred

EXPERIENCE

One to two years of experience in management in a non-medical home care environment desirable, but demonstrated aptitude for management considered

LICENSURE

Valid CT driver's license

PHYSICAL DEMAND

The physical demands of this position range from sedentary to light; i.e., constant handling of up to 20 pounds and walking and carrying at self pace.

Handling is performed on a constant basis. Sitting, standing, walking and bending are performed on a frequent basis, and carrying is performed on a regular basis.

The highest physical demands in this position include the moving, lifting and carrying of files, charts and other documentation; all of which involve the handling of loads up to 20 pounds on a regular basis, and carrying or moving loads up to 20 pounds on an occasional basis.

Driving an automobile varied distances to client/clinic locations as well as entering and exiting the automobile. Entering buildings using varied levels of stairs in order to provide service.
