Credit Modeling Manager

We are looking for a Credit Modeling Manager to join our Quantitative Risk and Research team. You will lead credit risk model development efforts. Experience working with credit scorecards, reject inference, and CECL is needed. The work will include both statistical as well as machine learning modeling.

This is a full-time, onsite role.
What You’ll Do
Lead junior quants in developing and validating credit risk models.
Provide guidance and support to junior quants, assisting in their technical and career growth.
Develop models by cleaning data, conducting variable selection, model selection, reviewing output, and monitoring performance.
Perform other projects and tasks as assigned.
What You Need
5+ years of experience in a similar role.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of model assumptions, including the ability to test these assumptions and identify potential solutions in cases where these assumptions may not hold (critical thinking).
Proficiency in utilizing academic papers, textbooks, and online resources to acquire knowledge of quantitative methods is required. Strong reading comprehension skills are essential for accurately discerning between correct and incorrect information, given the vast array of potentially misleading resources.
Be a self-starter who can identify what work needs to be done.
Proficiency in programming models, data manipulation, and analysis using Python, R, Matlab, or SAS. Proficiency in Python is required, although a willingness to learn is expected.
Experience with SQL and/or Snowflake is preferred.
Master’s or PhD degree in a STEM field; statistics, econometrics, mathematics, and quantitative finance is preferred.
