**Position Summary**

Support Aetna's ability to achieve its financial and strategic goals through effective underwriting. Underwriting support primarily includes identifying, evaluating, and managing risk to maximize revenue, membership and earnings.
- Performs underwriting analysis, case processing, and risk assessment for renewal of Aetna Funding Advantage contracts.
- Work to help resolve system issues and understand how systems are integrated into workflows.
- Support management with escalated issues.
- Work on cross functional projects.
- Works within guidelines/variance authority.
- Recognize when case exceptions need to go to manager vs what will be acceptable.
- Competently assists other teams as needed, with training

Independently manage workload priorities across functions.
- Delivers complex work.
- Often assists with and sometimes drives work that impacts across departments.
- Actively collaborates with leaders inside and outside of UW.
- Develop training workflows, standard work and UW guidelines.
- Communicate with manager+ level internal contacts and externally effectively.

**Required Qualifications**:

- 1-3 years' experience in underwriting/accounting pricing methodologies and funding arrangements.
- Demonstrated success prioritizing work and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to utilize analytical and independent thinking skills.
- Demonstrated success in collaborating with others to meet/exceed expectations.
- Experience providing clear and concise written and verbal communications with internal and external audiences
- Advanced in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to handle large audiences and tailor their communication to audience.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Healthcare Underwriting experience

**Education**:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

**Pay Range**

The typical pay range for this role is:
$19.52 - $42.91

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
