Senior Credit Review Analyst

Position Summary:

The Credit Review team conducts independent evaluations of credit decisions and the efficiency of credit processes across the bank's credit platform. This role is essential in identifying both existing and potential risks, with findings reported to key stakeholders, including executive management and regulatory bodies.

The Senior Credit Review Analyst will engage in examinations and ongoing assessments of various commercial credit portfolios. This individual will collaborate with examination teams to evaluate the quality of credit decision-making, portfolio management, and risk recognition practices. Additionally, they will conduct transaction reviews of new and existing clients to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and to assess the accuracy of risk ratings.

This role may involve leading special projects alongside regular testing responsibilities, focusing on Structured Financing Transactions and Counterparty Credit Risk within Global Markets portfolios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert analysis and guidance based on extensive credit review experience.
  • Establish Monitoring Plans for assigned credit portfolios and assess associated risk ratings.
  • Implement credit review strategies to ensure sound risk management practices.
  • Engage with regulatory agencies and internal risk management groups.
  • Evaluate the impact of industry trends on credit portfolios.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial credit, including lending and risk management.
  • Proven ability to influence senior leaders through data-driven analysis.
  • Strong skills in credit analysis, project management, and leadership.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct commercial credit experience.
  • Experience in identifying and reporting on emerging risks.
  • Background in Counterparty Credit Risk and Global Markets.

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is preferred.

Work Schedule:

Standard business hours.
