Senior Credit Review Analyst

Role Responsibilities:

The Credit Review function conducts independent evaluations of credit decisions and the efficacy of credit processes across the bank's credit platform. This role identifies both existing and emerging risks, providing comprehensive reports to stakeholders, including executive management and regulatory bodies.

The Senior Examiner will engage in credit review evaluations and ongoing testing across diverse commercial credit portfolios. This position involves collaborating with examination teams to assess the integrity of credit decision-making, portfolio management, and risk identification practices. The individual will also participate in continuous testing by reviewing transactions of new and existing clients to ensure compliance with underwriting standards and risk rating accuracy, thereby proactively identifying potential risks to portfolio credit quality.

This role may involve leading special projects in addition to regular testing duties, focusing on Structured Financing Transactions and Counterparty Credit Risk within Global Markets portfolios, including but not limited to Asset-Backed Securitization and Hedge Funds.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in commercial credit (including direct lending, risk management, and regulatory compliance)
  • Ability to substantiate conclusions through analytical reasoning and influence senior leadership
  • Exceptional skills in credit analysis, project management, and leadership
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficiency in managing multiple complex tasks while delivering high-quality outcomes
  • Expertise in Financial Analysis, Internal Audit Review, Loan Structuring, and Underwriting
  • Strong acumen in Credit and Risk Assessment, Critical Thinking, and Regulatory Compliance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of direct experience in commercial credit
  • Proven ability to identify and report on emerging risks
  • Experience relevant to Credit Review responsibilities
  • Capability to mentor less experienced associates
  • Background in Counterparty Credit Risk and Global Markets

Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related business field.
