As a Senior Actuarial Analyst at Arch Capital Group, you will play a critical role in providing actuarial support to our P&C Programs Insurance Business Unit. Key Responsibilities
- Profitability Reviews and Analyses: Apply actuarial concepts and techniques to determine portfolio profitability, analyzing and digging into detailed segmentations.
- Monitor and Reporting: Monitor portfolio rate change, pricing adequacy, and underwriting mix change on new and renewal business to guide Program Managers and make informed decisions.
- Actuarial Studies: Conduct analyses and research to improve pricing parameters and segmentation to better identify profitable opportunities.
- Tool Building: Design, program, and maintain critical tools used in pricing and book monitoring.

Requirements
- Most Senior Actuarial Analysts have 4-8 years of experience and demonstrated success on actuarial exams, but strong performers have been recognized as early as 2 years.
- Strong software/programming skills, such as Python and SQL, for building underwriting tools and advanced research projects.
- Superior communication skills for partnering with underwriters and presenting to business leaders.
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $95,900 - $148,902/year. Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors, including geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs.
