Overview:

- Job Description The Site Medical Director-PACE has overall responsibility for the clinical patient care at PACE site(s) he/she is delegated to oversee. He/she addresses clinical, programmatic, medical, and administrative issues at the site in collaboration with the Clinic Administrator and Nurse Administrator. The Site Medical Director-PACE or designed actively participates in the Interdisciplinary Team and directs the medical care decisions. **Minimum Requirements**:1. A physician with an active unrestrictive CA license to practice medicine by the Medical Board of California and DEA License required.

2. Prior experience in a leadership or management role is strongly preferred.
3. Previous experience with computer-based systems required; Electronic Medical records experience preferred.
4. Education, training and experience are necessary to meet the underwritten requirements for inclusion under AltaMed’s malpractice insurance coverage.
5. A current BLS certificate is required.
6. Bilingual: English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese preferred depending on location.
Pay Range: $290,000.00-$320,000.00

10. Proficient in intermediate/advanced computer skills and typing, including Microsoft Office Word and Outlook. **Physical Requirements**:1. Extensive walking, standing, moderate sitting, bending, stooping, lifting (up to 10 lbs.)
2. Talking and hearing are essential to effectively communicate with patients, clients and staff.
3. May be required to travel to sites/program and special functions and work irregular hours. **Environment Conditions Critical to Performance**:1. Exposure to a medical clinic setting. Low risk of contaminations when adhering to universal precautions. 2. May have some exposure to outside environments while traveling **Essential Job Functions:Managerial Skills: 15%**
1. Supervise all medical services offered by the program and provides primary care at the PACE site(s) delegated to provide overseas.
2. Reviews physician and mid-level professional staff performance on quality, patient experience and appropriate resource use at the site no less than monthly, and performs individual provider evaluations no less than annually.
3. Orient all new physician and mid-level providers, and oversees daily coverage.
**Financial/Budgetary Skills: 15%**
4. Assists in managing and monitoring the cost of hospitalization, specialty and ancillary services and identifies, implements and measures areas for improvement.
**Quality/Patient Care Responsibilities: 65%**
5. Management of an on-site modified panel based on clinical needs and resources, works with IDT to provide full spectrum services to paneled patients according to PACE regulations. Work collaboratively with Mid-Level extender providers where appropriate to provide panel management of internal site panel.
6. Works in collaboration with pharmacist-PACE to oversee and monitor clinic stock medications, dispensary medications, and individual patient prescribed and stored medications onsite.
7. An initial review of PACE site Incident Reports to monitor for quality of care issues, process improvement opportunities, and site training needs, to be sent to Regional Medical Director PACE for final sign off.
8. Oversees clinic services, develops systems to track and monitor urgent care services onsite, i.e. IVF, injections, antibiotics, procedures.
9. Oversees the management of participant’s medical situations, and oversees the participant’s use of medical specialists and inpatient care.
10. Assist in data collection analysis and preparing reports regarding clinical service delivery.
11. Provide active leadership in UM/QM committees to monitor quality of care, patient experience and appropriate resource use indicators and assist in the identification and implementation of appropriate interventions.
