Position Compensation: $16.50/hr
**POSITION: CAREGIVER**
**STATUS: TEMPORARY ON CALL BASIS**
We are a multi-cultural home care agency in Los Angeles with a special focus on serving the Asian-Pacific Islander community. We are looking for well qualified caregivers, CNA’s, and HHA’s to provide top notch care as well as companionship for our clients.
**Duties**:
Assisting with personal care, which may include bathroom functions, bathing, grooming, dressing, and eating.
- Following a prescribed healthcare plan, which may include assisting with exercise and administering medication.
- Ensuring the client’s home is organized according to their needs and that safety measures are in place. You may also be expected to assist with some light housework.
- Providing emotional support and encouragement to perform necessary tasks.
- Providing mobility assistance may be required, for example helping the client in and out of bed, a chair, or a wheelchair.
- Transporting or escorting the client to medical and other appointments.
- Monitoring and reporting changes in health, behavior, and needs.
**Essential Qualifications**
- Must be a minimum of 19 years of age
- Holds the minimum education of High School or equivalent
- Experience and skills to perform responsibilities
- Clean Criminal Background
- Understand English clearly
- Be able to lift, push or pull 25 pounds,
- Be able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, and reach
- Be able to walk independently up and down a normal flight of stairs
- Be able to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
- Be able to adapt to various living environments and locations
- Be able to communicate with clients in a friendly and professional manner
- Be able to work flexible hours, which may include night shifts, weekends and holidays.
**Special Requirments**
- COVID vaccination required; must have two-dose series of Pfizer or Moderna or a single-dose of Johnson & Johnson. Those that need a medical or religious exemption
