**Shift : Day**

**Pay: $23 /hr**

**Job Summary**:

- The individual would need to answer telephones, sort, scan mail and train on processing patient release of information.
- Coordinates routine disclosure of protected health information (PHI) to internal and external users.
- Accurately enters and tracks all requests for PHI as directed.
- Verifies and ensures that the requesting individual has a legal right to the medical records.

**Requirements**:

- Required Education: High school diploma/GED
- Required Experience: Three (3) years of medical records correspondence.
- Preferred Education: Associates Degree in Health Information Technology or related field

**Job Types**: Contract, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Healthcare setting:

- Children's hospital
- Inpatient

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Medical terminology: 1 year (preferred)
- Computer skills: 1 year (preferred)

Work Location: On the road
