**Position Details**:
**American Worldwide Agencies is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Air Export Operator to join our team. Schedule as follows**:
- Monday - Friday, 9am to 5pm, On-Site (Must be flexible to work within these business hours)
**Location**: Jamaica (JFK), NY
**Reports to**: Branch Manager
**Salary Range**: $55,000 - $60,000/yr. (DOE)
**Position Responsibilities**:
- _Prepares issues and submits documentation to ensure proper exportation of cargo._
- _Ensures that service commitments are achieved and maintained in accordance with client and company objectives._
- _Provides clients with information and guidance._
- _Ensures that invoicing of rendered services is completed accurately and in a time frame consistent with company policy._
- _Work closely with overseas agents, customers, airlines, and other relevant parties to ensure smooth operations._
- _Maintain accurate records of all shipments, including documentation and tracking._
- _Ensure compliance with all relevant aviation regulations and safety protocols._
- _Participate in the continuous improvement of our logistics processes._
- _Assist with invoice posting._
- _Performs other duties as required and assigned._
**Qualifications/Requirements**:
- _High School Diploma or equivalent._
- _Minimum 3 years of experience working in Air Export preferred._
- _Strong knowledge of Air Export & TSA regulations and documentation._
- _Hazmat certified or will need to be certified upon hire._
- _Strong customer service skills and must have a desire to provide outstanding service to both internal and external customers, while maximizing profit._
- _Excellent carrier/vendor negotiation skills._
- _Flexible attitude and the ability to adapt to changes readily._
- _Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word and Excel._
- _Professional demeanor, including excellent written & verbal communication skills._
- _Stellar organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines._
- _Ability to work within a team environment where keeping open communication among your colleagues is vital._
- _Knowledge of Incoterms_
- _Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask. _
- _CargoWise One operational system knowledge is a plus_
