**Job description**
The **Junior** **Estimator** will review and execute bids on multiple and/or complex hotel renovation projects. This position will be responsible for various aspects of the estimating and bid process, from review of plans and specifications, to soliciting and negotiating prices from contractors and suppliers. The Junior Estimator will develop a thorough proposal on all cost elements. The Junior Estimator will determine all cost components of a project and propose alternative solutions.
**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Provide all cost elements relative to estimating and planning for a given project.
- Be able to propose alternate solutions relating to the scoping and cost of a project
- Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform accurate quantity takeoff’s
- Perform plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates

- Presenting your estimates to stakeholders and clients.
**Required Skills/Abilities**
- Understanding and ability to read architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
- Good interpersonal skills and strong willingness to work in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to solve technical issues.
- Ability to work as a team player and independently.
**Education And Experience**
- Field experience and/or bachelor’s degree
- 2+ years in commercial construction estimating.
- 2+ years experience in construction estimating & bidding projects
Pay: $67,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
