Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our team in Los Angeles, CA. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day tasks including construction estimating, quantity take-offs, cost management, communication, and budgeting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare material quantity surveys for projects.
- Solicit subcontractor bids.
- Review and assist in writing subcontract scopes.
- Prepare/Assist and update project budgets.
- Develop project schedules.
- Maintain logs.
- Maintain historic project cost data.
- Assist purchasing as needed.
- Create subcontractor scopes of work for bid.
- Assist with other construction management tasks, as needed.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 4-5 years of industry experience.
- Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-offs skills.
- Cost Management and Budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Experience using Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and Procore.
- Must be physically able to perform job walks and maneuver around an active construction site.
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field.
