What You Will Do:
Perform basic patient care and ophthalmic testing procedures as directed by an Ophthalmologist.
- Prepare examination and treatment rooms.
- Obtain patient history, perform basic and routine vision screening examinations, administer eye medications and assist with minor office procedures.
- Review the appointment schedule, complete forms, and process records.
- Clean and maintain ophthalmic instruments. Maintain and stock supplies as needed.
- Teach proper contact lens care to insure proper insertion and removal and proper sanitary conditions.
- Confirm accuracy of contact lens and glasses deliveries and dispense according to physician direction and patient preference.

What You Will Need:
Licensure / Certification / Registration:

- BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

**Education**:

- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's
degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
