JOB SUMMARY:
Dedicated to empowering
individuals by providing job placement services and educational opportunities
to help them thrive in the workforce and educational institutions. This
includes actively engaging with a diverse team, fostering connections with
businesses and educational representatives, organizing outreach activities, and
facilitating career information
workshops.

WORK EXPERIENCES:

- Minimum of Two years of experience in client job placement required
- Experience working with at-risk populations highly preferred

CERTIFICATION: Certified Employment Support Professional (CESP) highly
preferred

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Initiating and maintaining contacts with businesses and educational
representatives
- Researching job leads and educational opportunities
- Matching job skills with applicant qualifications and referring qualified applicants to employers
- Assisting participants in assessing their job skills, preparing for interviews, and job-seeking
- Conducting outreach and recruitment activities
- Providing job search/career
information workshops and presentations
- Providing networking opportunities between departments and community
agencies
- Preparing forms and reports
related to placement activities and tracking participant activity and progress
data
- Coordinating with a
multidisciplinary team on a weekly/monthly basis
- Spending 65% or more of
scheduled work hours in the community
- Attending high school meetings
to discuss how students learn best and ways to support their education

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

- Knowledge of job development and
client placement methods and techniques
- Interpersonal skills to work
cooperatively and effectively with individuals and groups from diverse
backgrounds
- Bilingual: French or Haiti Creole or Spanish Strongly Preferred
